I returned to Malaysia last Friday. I arrived 8.00 am at KLIA and the haze was still there!. I could tell it was still there from the smell of smoke from inside the aircraft cabin (although I could not see outside from my seat position. After 7 days of enduring temperatures of 40 degree C in day time, 32 degree C at night and 90 per cent humidity, I glad to be back.
Unfortunately, I ran into a problem at the baggage collection carousel. My checked in bag did not appear after all the bags have been removed from the aircraft. A guy with a walkie talkie checked and there was no bag left in the cargo hold. Nothing to do but to make a report at the Lost and Found counter.
Some update on my training over the past 3 days.
Friday : Rest
Saturday : Morning - ran on a treadmill at Sweat Club, 8 km at 11.0 km/hr
Today : Evening - ran 10 km in Klang with Albert, Jimmy and ??? . 53 minutes.
I plan to start doing long run (20 km) this Sunday as the Putrajaya half marathon is only 4 weeks away.
On a good note, my missing bag was recovered and sent to me this evening. Nothing missing. It was a good thing my bag was recovered. The compensation for a lost baggage is miniscule ; USD 9.07 (RM 33) per kg. In my case, the compensation for a 5.6 kg baggage is 180 Ringgit. It doesn't even cover the cost of the Dri Fit Nike T-shirt, New Balance shorts and socks - RM 200 value.
