My Car Accident Yesterday Reckless Driver

I had an accident on Sunday afternoon at the Sungai Buloh area on the North South Highway.

It was raining heavily and the cause of the accident was a stupid driver of a Kancil car (black colour) who drove recklessly. Kancil is a small car not suitable for high speed driving especially during rainy conditions. I should know as besides the Proton Waja, I also own a Kancil car.

A few minutes before the accident, I saw the Kancil overtaking from left and right directions like nobody's business. I was driving on the fast lane (rightmost) at 110 km/hr - within the speed limit of 110 km/hr. The Kancil was travelling at about 130 km/hr. A crazy speed for a small car moving in heavy rain.

There was a Hyundai car in front of me. Suddenly I saw the Kancil on the middle lane careened to the rightmost lane and then hit the divider hard. It spun around before stopping in the middle lane. I braked as soon I saw the Kancil hit the divider. The Hyundai driver also braked and both us slowed down and stopped.

From the driving mirror, I saw a car approaching from behind and it was not stopping. I was sure it was going to hit me. So I put my head back on the head rest and put both my arms on the steering wheel, press the brake pedal hard and braced for the inevitable collision. Boom! - the car hit the rear. The impact knocked the breath out of me. My car weighing 1250 kg moved forward about 1 -2 m and hit the Hyundai in front.

The damages sustained by my car is shown on the 4 photos.

Neither me, the 2 occupants of the car (Proton Waja) behind me or the Hyundai were seriously injured. As of now, I have a stiff neck due a whiplash effect when my head moved forward upon impact. The 2 occupants got away with sore shoulders and body. The Hyundai driver was OK except for a dented bumper.

And the Kancil driver? I heard he escaped uninjured although in my unkind moments, I would have liked to see him end up at the hospital to teach him an unforgetable lesson.

Later I asked the police what the Kancil driver said when the police asked him at what speed he drove. The driver said 60 km/hr. I told the police the actual speed of the Kancil driver - 130 km/hr. The police didn't believe the 60 km/hr story either.

The car in the workshop now for repairs. I am not sure how the car will perform after the repairs. From the photos, the car seems to have sustained structural damage as seen from the misaligned doors. (The door on the driver side was jammed shut).

I'm feeling like gonna box that kancil idiot. I wish that idiot got worse than that!!!

Luckily you were cool enough to execute those safety steps and get away with a minor injury.

Get well soon both physically and mentally. Take care!
