Ronnie's and Siew Mooi's pre-weedding dinner was held at Taman Wahyu on Friday. This is somewhere in Kepong which is not easily accessible by public transport. So instead of taking public transport, I drove to work.
At 5.50 pm, I left KLCC to drive to Kepong. The traffic jam was just awful. It took me 15 minutes just to move 200 m from the car park to the traffic lights at Jln Ampang-Yap Kwan Seng. While sitting in the car watching the beautiful weather, I could not help but wished I was running at KLCC park. To pass the time away. I spent my time ogling at the girls who were walking. I also found out why the traffic jam was so bad, the traffic light stays green for 20 seconds whereas for red, it was 3 minutes. Whoever sets the traffic light timing at this junction is an idiot ! I SMSed Jamie and he said he and Newton was running at KLCC.
At 6.25 pm, I managed to get pass this traffic and got stuck in another jam. Fortunately I was not bored as I saw this girl wearing tight black trousers walking on the left roadside. I sat in the car mesmerized as her hips swung fro side to side as she walked briskly to Jln. Sultan Ismail.
Another 50 minutes of driving I heavy traffic, I finally arrrived at Ronnie's flat. I walked up the 2nd flr looking for the flat. I passed by a flat which had a red colour cloth on top of the door frame. I was unsure whether this was the right place and walked by. I heard a voice at the back, it was Ronnie's wife. Another girl wearing a black dress escorted to the ground floor where the dinner was held.
The time spent during dinner was basically with the other runners talking about what else running. I think we runners could sometimes bore non-runners while blabbing about our beloved sports. We just can't help ourselves!. In fact I didn't even meet the non-runners at the dinner. I must be have been afflicted with the "We (runners) versus them (non-runners)" disease.
I left at about 9.45 pm while the rest were still talking about more running topics.
