I left the office later than normal today although it was my running day. Tt was already 6.40 pm when I switched off my PC but I decided to go to the gym. After changing and warming up, I started running on the treadmill at 6.55 pm. I was glad that I decided to run despite the late start. I managed to complete 3.5 km and best of all I could run at 9.0 km/hr with a moderate effort. I felt great after completing 3.5 km.
While doing my cooldown stretching, I thought to myself "If I was free of the chronic knee problem then I would be able to train consistently. It was possible that within one month, I would be able to run at 10.0 km/hr (min.) for at at least 5 to 6 km". It was wishful thinking on my part as it stands now. I would try to run as often as possible but it is unlikely I will be running any races this year.
